Laura defends her PhD thesis
On 29th November Laura Covill (author of this and all other news posts) defended her thesis, thus concluding the PhD. An interview summarising the thesis contents can be accessed here. Professor Sophie Hambleton from Newcastle University (UK) was an excellent opponent, giving an engaging seminar the previous day and providing a detailed introduction to the work for the defence itself.
Laura will be relocating to Boston to perform a post-doctoral fellowship at the Broad Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital.
